The leaves of Mitragyna speciosa, a tree of Malaysia and Thailand, is a powerful herb used in the Far East to induce a unique relaxed and dreamy sensation. It can be used as an opium substitute and has been found to supress opiate withdrawal symptoms. Methods of ingesting Kratom leaf include preparing a tea, smoking and chewing the leaf.
