Rolling Techniques 101
« on: July 11, 2007, 03:13:53 PM »

OK, Since I read in the description of this forum and it included rolling I thought I'd help out some in this area. Anyone else that knows way's feel free to share the knowledge.

I will cover as much as I know as far as rolling with papers, blunts and other plant leaves maybe found in your local area.

Joints a.k.a Whiteboys called in my area. My favorite to use has always been Zig Zags but French Lights are also a close first.

Now for the info.

Rolling a decent joint in as easy as 123.
Now you can go to your local headshop and purchase a rolling machine but another technique that works the same without having to spend the money.

Rolling with a dollar bill(or whatever paper currency you have there all the same size I believe)
1. Take the bill you were going to use to buy that rolling machine with and fold a quarter of it.(this makes a pocket to place the weed in)

2. Take your already grounded or broken down bud and place it between the long part of the bill and that quarter piece you folded up.

3. After thats done, take your favorite paper and slide it alongside the long side of the bill and gradually wedge it down between the bill and the bud until the paper reaches crease on the bill. Simple if understood.

4. No its as easy as 123. Place your fingers where the bud is bludging out and roll it up as if you were rolling a joint. Now of course your gonna roll it 3/4's of the way up then u can pull that quarter piece you folded back and lick the paper to seal.

Note: If this is to hard to understand I will post pictures showing how to do so OK. Just ask.

Blunt(Cigar) Rolling
I've had a lot of people have me show them how to roll a decent blunt and I'm going to try to help you also. Now theres 2 sections to this area one for cigars you crack down the middle and one's that you unwrap the leaf then crack. Both techniques are closely similar but really different.
We will first start with cigars you crack down the middle. This applies to every blunt as every blunt can be cracked down the middle. Just note that these usually include Phillies, whiteowls and all those man made unnatural cigars.

1. OK you have a Phillie and you don't know how to crack you can do a couple things to get rid of the tobacco guts and just have the 2 outer layers. You can take a knife or razor and cut a straight line down the middle or gentally with with your 2 thumbs crack it. I can't really explain it so stick to a knife or razor if you don't know how to crack it with your thumbs.

2. Now you've got the 2 outer layers and the guts properly disposed of. Now your gonna fold a a 1/4 of the blunt. Now you have a little pocket to place your "goodie" in. Go ahead place your weed in the blunt.

3. Now get it all even with your index finger.

4. Start from one of the ends and begin rolling it. Roll it half way up then move over and do the same. Continue this process until you now have a completely half rolled blunt. You should then just be able to start from the middle of the blunt and roll it as if you were rolling a joint. Simple enough.

I'll draw the technique for y'all step by step a little later.

Still to come because I need to take a shower.
Local trees you can easily use to roll up your goodie if you can't afford papers or blunts.

Definately deserves the "101" in the title but nice attempt, just not very clear, although I know what you are talking about because I already know the subject so that makes it easy to realize what you mean when something is missing or left to be "understood".

When making a guide you want to realize that the persons you are writing could have no knowledge and keep that in mind. Also, I said the "101" comment because that dollar bill is a cop out to a real roll, and with blunt you can roll them a whole different bunch of ways, my favorite for both joints and blunts is cones (NO CRUTCHES). Sounds like you said to just gut and toss the leaf on the blunts, we like to take our time and work the leaf off the blunt, cut it sharply, gut the insides, roll it, and then put the leaf back on, especially with honey dutches. Like I said that dollar bill joint "trick" sort of rolls like a machine, not a true join IMO, a I like cones, although my friend can roll up those fancy joints from that joint rolling site (diamond, tullip, etc...)

I give you a 4/10 unless you want a 4/20?

//edit, refine it a bit and you got a better guide Wink
