Hey everyone... SWIM is setting up his first grow-room(closet). He is only growing one plant at a time though. The first one will be northern lightz from the shop on this website.

SWIM cleaned out his closet first and cleared out all the spider webs. Then he ran some plastic over the walls and top to keep the bugs out. He has a strand of lights at the top ranging from 1-3 cfl bulbs.

SWIM is going to root it in a shotglass of water and then transfer it to a pot. The pot is a decent size with drainage holes at the bottom with a tray to catch the water. Its filled with 3:1 potting soil:vermiculite. He will let it sprout and grow its first set of leaves under 2 bulbs. Then itll grow from there to the 10-12 inch range under 1 bulb. Itll follow the 18/6 light cycle for this phase. Then itll be 12/12 under 3 bulbs untill SWIM harvests.

Im going to keep this thread updated with pictures and questions if they arise. Im hoping everything comes out good. Ill be updating for SWIM of course....

Couple of questions from him:

I know when to harvest them by crystal color but im not sure how many months I should wait before I start to check the crystals..

SWYM should check them depending on their grow cycle.  What type of seeds are they, then you have a better understanding of harvesting time.  Overall though on average they all have the same window to be harvested.  Ahh I see you said the strain SWYM used in the post.  I'll post some more detailed info pertaining to that.  When SWIM grew they kept a detailed journal in code that followed the plants everyday.  They studied them and knew everything about them and could tell differences day to day.  You should do tell SWYM to do this too so that they can control the grow in their favor.  They are also going to want to look out for sexing unless the seeds are feminized.  Look for a post later with better more detailed answers for SWYM once I ask SWIM or do research .  I look forward to SWYM's pictures.

If SWYM keeps this journal detailed enough with pictures and is located where marijuana growing is legal or has a medicinal liscense for growing may we use ask you to ask SWYM for there consent to use it?  Or at least for pictures when creating grow guides.  Thanks!
