I have taken Psilocybin Mushrooms many times over the years and although I never do them regularly, I've had many interesting trips form them and consider them a "favourite drug" for me. The first time I took mushrooms was definately an interesting experience that is getting entered here:
It was around fall when I bought 30g of very potent mushrooms from a friend of mine and began planning to take them. I went to a buddy's house and we decided we would take them now, walk to another mate's house, and when we get there they should kick in.
I grabbed a handful of mushrooms and put them in my mouth. I chewed them up and washed them down with some vanilla coke. We shared the mushrooms 50/50 and headed for the door.
As soon as I stepped outside I felt different. I wasn't tripping at all, but I knew that they were sneaking up on me. You can't describe the feeling, but you know that they're coming. We made hasty tracks.
We got to my mate's house and sat down inside, and that is when the mushrooms began to take effect. He had a large mirror in his house, and everytime I looked into it - everything was different on the other side, even though when I looked around the room everything was normal. After tripping at the mirror for a bit, we decided to go for a walk. As we headed for the door, I noticed that it looked like something out of a cartoon. The door was thin at the bottom and really wide at the top, and I imagined Bugs Bunny coming through it at any moment.
After making it outside, we just began walking. We walked past a cinema and it's walls glowed yellow and purple and stood out in the dark Autumn air. It was probably around 9pm and we had no idea where we were going, just walking. We walked up the side of the cinema and down an old cobbled alleyway behind it. The whole alley was pitch black, and we couldn't see a thing, apart from one piece of grass growing up through the gutter - glowing neon green. After staring at the bright green grass in the otherwise black alley for a bit, we kept walking.
After a fairly uneventful 5 minutes we made it to the river.
Once we got there, we must have sat and stared at the lights on the other side for hours. During the course of the trip I must've smoked 20-40 cigarettes. I don't know why, I just enjoyed the feeling of the smoke and kept lighting up. Just when sitting at the riverside couldn't get any more beautiful - a solitary white swan appeared out of nowhere, right in front of us the the water. Being in full grasp of the substances coursing through our bodies, we were speechless.
We finally left the riverside to buy more cigs. By this time, everything we said had meaning. We felt like great philosophers! Everything we talked about felt so meaningful. We managed to trace a choccy biscuit back tot he creation of the Earth. It was insane.
Walking down the road at 11pm, heading to the 24/7 Petrol station to get more tabs, we felt invincible. Nothing can describe the happiness we felt and how indestructable the mushrooms made us feel.
Overall, the trip had more feelings to it than actual visuals. As we followed the road, it seemed to be wiggly - but in reality we knew it was straight. Also, lights were a lot brighter and colours appeared more vibrant - with slight tracers every now and again. The things we talked about I can't even remember, but the trip an amazing experience.
The trip wore off as we were walking back from the garage with our cigs, and it felt kinda sad. It was disappointing that this great feeling was leaving you - but we made the most of it. We sat on a bench and had a few cigarettes and talked fow a bit before retiring home to bed.
I would definately reccomend trying out mushrooms with a small group of close friends. 3 or 4 people in the group max. You will never see things the same again...
EDIT: If anyone wants any further details about the experience, jsut ask and I will be happy to post them up. Also, I have a wealth of other mushrooms experiences that can be typed up when I have the time.
