First off, we have three new products for you all! The first is Psychotria Viridis, the most commonly used admixture to the ancient tincture Ayahuasca. These DMT-containing leaves can also be smoked as a joint. Second is Calea Zacatechichi, or Mexican Dream Herb, which can be brewed into a rather disgusting tea or again, rolled and smoked as a joint. The final new product we have is Rivea Corymbosa Seeds, which are a lot like Morning Glory or Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds, but with diminished negative side affects.
Also, we've slashed loads of our prices. Here's a quick list:
Following the appearance of videos on YouTube of people under the influence of Salvia Divinorum, BBC news has questioned whether its legal status should be reviewed.
The article refers to one user's experience of the drug as 'a parody of 1960s mind-expanding hippies', but claims that it is 'not untypical of a curious YouTube-centred subculture'. So, rather than people tagging these videos on YouTube as inappropriate and getting them removed, the reaction has been to question the drug itself.
Is this fair? Or are the few, irresponsible users of a drug going to end up ruining things for responsible users, too? The article also reports calls for a federal ban on Salvia in the US after the suicide of a teenager who 'had at some point smoked the plant'. It is a well known fact that ALL suicide victims have at 'some point' drank water, or inhaled oxygen - should we look into banning those too? People seem to be grasping at straws here to find a reason why a drug which, whilst it may be abused by some, is enjoyed by many, should be outlawed. There will always be irresponsible people when it comes to mind-altering substances - one only needs to look at alcohol to see that. In fact, why the hell would any government even think about banning salvia, when in over 65% of suicide cases, alcohol may have been a factor! (Source: Department of Health, 2003)
What can we do about it then? If you don't want to see Salvia Divinorum made illegal, report those YouTube videos - get them taken down and make a point that the majority of salvia users are responsible, mature adults who can enjoy this ancient herb with the safety and respect it deserves.

Over the weekend, we've finally worked out how to create a Coffeesh0p Facebook Group for our little site and community. We'll be using this for news and discussion, as well as competitions, giveaways and so on. So, if you have a Facebook account, why not join our group today?
In other news, the news system got a bit of an upgrade today - you can now link to each news article itself, if you wanted to pass the story on, link to it from your site or blog, or post the link on a forum. You can also submit each article to a number of popular social bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, etc. We've also created an RSS Feed, if you'd like to subscribe, and an archive on the main News page, should you want to look back at earlier posts.
Just a quick bit of news to let you know we've added two more articles to our Articles & Information section. There's now a "Cooking With Cannabis" category, containing a basic guide to making Cannabis Butter; the bricks and mortar of any cannabis recipe. To compliment this, we've also added a recipe for quite possibly the best Hash Brownies ever - But be careful! They taste too good!
But before you even get started reading those, I'd like to draw your attention to our Disclaimer. Don't want anyone breaking the law now, do we?
If anyone has any awesome recipies they'd like to share, please Email Us and, if it's any good, we'll publish it.
So, I was Googling "Cannabis Seeds" and came across this hilarious find:
Yes, you read that right! TalkToFrank *can't spell* "Cannabis".
An interesting note - in the time it took to write this and make a screenshot of the original advert, they retracted it. At least we managed to capture it before they realised, even if you can't search for yourself. Oh well! :)
Once again, we're increasing our product range to bring you three new varieties of Legal Pills and two new strains of Cannabis Seeds.
The first of the three new varieties of herbal ecstasy are (aptly named) X-E - an extreme energy boost. The second are U4-E, which bring about an uplifted, euphoric mood and finally Lounge-E, for when you're in the mood to relaxxx!
Also, in the next few weeks hopefully, we'll be changing the layout of the main page to look more like an actual shop. Currently, it's more of a welcome message and news feed with a few products thrown in. What we'll aim to do is combine the shop with a mini news feed, and rewrite all the text to look more welcoming - No one wants to read a massive introduction, then go to the shop and have to read another massive passage of text. We're currently playing around with designs, so we're not settled on anything yet, but watch out for yet another facelift soon!
Oh, and while I think about it, when we get some suitable photos taken, we'll add an "About Us" section to the site, so you can all get to know us a bit better.
